Herbert F. Gretz III, MD

Dr Gretz is the Director of Gynecologic Oncology and the Director of the AAGL Gynecologic Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship.

Dr. Gretz is a gynecologic surgeon who specializes in surgery for women with either malignant or benign diseases. These conditions include endometriosis, fibroids, as well as cancers of the ovary, uterus, cervix, vulva.

His specific area of expertise is minimally invasive surgery including either robotic or laparoscopic procedures. These operative techniques typically shorten hospital stays, and allow patients to recuperate faster. Dr. Gretz operates with the philosophy that each woman needs to be considered individually, and that every surgery should be tailored to the disease process and needs of each patient.

Dr. Gretz has published numerous articles. He has also given numerous lectures both nationally and internationally regarding minimally invasive surgery. He also participates in programs to teach and train other surgeons to perform both robotic and laparoscopic surgery.
